About saramcguyer
I started as a casual runner, and bit by bit, running took over as my thing. My big goal is to run a marathon in all 50 states. It's sort of my lifetime fitness plan. By day, I run Yes and Yonder, my own design and consulting firm. My husband and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana with our two rescue dogs, Brüski and Barnaby.

Hills on hills on hills. There’s a good reason locals call Atlanta Marathon “The Beast.” A super challenging course for my twelfth marathon.
Flying Solo
A friend’s family emergency could have turned into a skipped race. Instead, I embraced the situation as a chance to expand my comfort zone. Flying solo isn’t so bad!
Turn the Screw
Imagine you’re an airplane. Or a train. What’s your run like then? I’ve been trying out visualizations, inspired by Let Your Mind Run by Deena Kastor.
And… GO!
You’re at the start line, ready to race. Just as the gun fires, what goes through your mind? My start line thoughts are almost always the same…
